PartyHub (“the app”) is made by Fabio Oliveira (“we”). The app turns your phone into a controller for party games shown on a TV or computer. This page explains what the app handles, why, and what you can do about it.
Display name. The name you type when you join a room. It is shown on the TV and to the other players in the same room. It is kept only for as long as the room exists.
Room code. The short code of the room you join, so the app can reconnect you to the same room if it restarts. It is stored on your phone only.
Game input. Button presses, taps and phone tilt are sent to the host screen while a game is running. They are not recorded and are discarded as soon as the game ends.
Host address. The address of the host screen you connected to, stored on your phone so the next join is faster.
No account is created. We do not ask for an email address, password, phone number or payment details.
The app shows no advertising and sells nothing, so there is no advertising identifier and no payment data. We do not collect your email, contacts, location, photos, audio or any analytics about how you use the app.
Camera. Only used when you choose to scan the QR code shown on the TV to join a room. The camera reads the code; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
Motion sensors. Some games are steered by tilting the phone. Sensor readings are turned into a direction and sent to the host screen while that game is running. They are not stored.
Vibration. Used for haptic feedback during games.
Game rooms run on the host’s own device or on our game server, which keeps rooms in memory only and writes nothing to disk. We do not use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services, and we do not share your data with anyone.
Room data lives in memory and is deleted when the room closes. The room code and host address saved on your phone are removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.
PartyHub is a game for groups of friends and family. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
